Hello guys,
I want to define summary account template. For example, if I want to have summary account by each of expense account only (not include the account type Asset, Liability, Equity and Revenue)? How can I define….?
Please proceed as
-Define the Rollup Groups for Natural Account value set by following steps
- Follow the Nevigation Gl Setup-->Financials-->Key Flexfields-->Key-->Groups
- Through Group Function a Query WIndow will open provide your relevant info. of Application: General Ledger, Title: Accounting FlexField, Structure: Your GL Accounting Flexfield Name, Segment: Account and reach to Rollup Group Screen.
- Give Code, Like Capex, Opex etc
- Enter name and description
- Then assign these rollup groups to your relevant Parent Values in Natural Accounts Value Set. One rollup Group for one parent.
- Define the Summary Accounts on Following Nevigation -- Gl Setup-->Financials-->Accounts-->Summary
- Then On Summary Accounts screen in Template field all the segment of Accounting Flexfield will open. Provide the value as
- Select D- for all Segments except Account segment
- Select Rollup Group Name in each line for Account Segment.
- Provide Budgetray Control as per flexibility of your business operations like below
- Absolute : for Capex Line
- Advisory: for the Opex Line

i am agree with above ans because it is better you need to create Rollup Group for every expense account as compare to go another way.
